To reach Government Museum and Art Gallery, Sector 10-C, Chandigarh from the Bus Stand in Sector 17, either one can take a cycle rickshaw or a local bus (no. 1, 10, 31, 75, 123, and 149) The bus will drop you at the Rose Garden. The museum is just across the road. From the railway station, an autorickshaw from the pre-paid stand will bring you straight to the museum. From the airport, auto rickshaws and taxis can be hired from the pre-paid booths. The museum is approximately 2 1/2 kms from the bus stand, 9 kms. from the railway station and 12 kms. from the airport.

An alternative is to board the bus of CITCO which takes the tourists on a tour of the city. For details log on to the website of CITCO.

Timings: It opens for public daily between 10:00 a. m. and 4:30 p.m. except on Mondays, National and Public holidays.

Entry Fee: Rs. 10/- (Rupees ten only). There is no entry fee for children below 12 years and senior citizens.

Camera Fee: Rs. 5/- (Rupees five only)

Guided tour: Daily at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Special guided tour for school children with prior appointments are arranged.
Wheelchairs are also available on request.
